AS-10: MXF for Production

At the request of CNN, Harmonic and Sony, the AMWA is launching a new application specification, AS-10: MXF for Production. This new AS is geared towards establishing a common MXF file format for a typical end to end production workflow including camera acquisition, server acquisition, editing, playout, digital distribution and archive. The initiative will take into account existing MXF based systems & devices that have been deployed with an aim towards backward compatibility. We have tasked the technical team with creating a reference implementation (file creator, validator, golden files) that will be made available to AMWA members along with the associated Application Specification.
