IBC was a huge success for NMOS and DMF, with industry collaboration on full display. Here are some of the highlights that show how that collaboration is delivering real-world results today while helping shape the next generation of media infrastructure.

In the BCP-008 area, multi-vendor demos showed how standardized status reporting across equipment from multiple manufacturers helps operators identify, understand, and troubleshoot issues more quickly by reporting problems only when they actually matter.

Companies that participated in the demos are: Arkona, DirectOut, EVS, Leader, Nevion, Pebble, Providius, Riedel, SRF, Simplexity, and Sony.

Stefan Ledergerber from Simplexity spoke with Matt Robbins from KitPlus about the need for NMOS BCP-008, and did a demo of how it works with different devices used together in the same workflow.

There was also a hive of activity around the Dynamic Media Facility (DMF). Members of the Joint Task Force on Dynamic Media Facilities (JT-DMF) community led Ask Me Anything sessions to bring clarity to the industry about making the DMF vision a reality.

The JT-DMF Meet Up brought together leaders from the four working groups to update the community on the progress toward bringing DMF to fruition. And the DMF Showcase demo brought together a collaborative team of industry partners, including Matrox, NVIDIA, Sony, TAG, and Wavelet Beam to run a workflow on an on-prem cloud.

François Legrand of CBC/Radio-Canada and Willem Vermost of the EBU caught up with Matt Robbins from KitPlus about the vision for DMF and the latest updates from the JT-DMF.

Are you ready to get involved in the exciting work being done?
